Reminder that tomorrow is the Level 3 & 4 Aviation Day.

Important details:

Arrival: 0900hrs
Dismissal: 2000hrs
Dress: FTUs

Breakfast: Eat before you come
Lunch/Dinner: Provided

Reminders for tonight

All;

  1. We are in blue uniforms tonight. If parts of your uniform do not fit, bring them in for exchange. More information are in this weeks WRO (Weekly Routine Order).
  2. All cadets are expected to bring a jacket, gloves, and hat. Be prepared to be outside. If you forget, see Supply Officer right away to borrow any of those 3 items. Remember it is always colder at the cadet hall.
  3. Complete the screening and wear a mask: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/
  4. Provide the date of your last vaccination IF you applied to summer training. This is needed tonight, please see the Orderly room (front office).

Attention all cadets that applied for summer training

All;

There has been a requirement change for summer training (CTC) for cadets to be vaccinated.

  1. If you are vaccinated (two doses); please email the dates of each vaccination to 87air@cadets.gc.ca OR see the office in person this Wednesday.
  2. OR, if you are not vaccinated; please let us know via email to 87air@cadets.gc.ca OR see the office in person this Wednesday. This includes if you still plan to be vaccinated BEFORE summer training.

This information is required ASAP.

Announcements

  1. This is the final week of the Air Cadet Lottery. We are still over 100 tickets short as of last count. Make sure to ask your friends and family to help. This is the Ontario wide lottery, and proceeds are split between funding the gliding program and putting money back into our local unit. Everything you need is here: Air Cadet lottery tickets
  2. We are back in blue uniforms this Wednesday for the first time this training year;

Parade Night – Wednesday (in-person)

Make sure to dress for the weather; make sure to bring coat/hat/gloves.

Please note the following Public Health Measures:

  1. Cadets, staff, volunteers, and visitors must complete the Ontario In-School
    screening, with a favourable result, before attending:
    https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/;
  2. All cadets, staff, volunteers, and visitors must wear a surgical, N95, or KN95 mask.
    We have extra surgical masks on the counter at the front door;
  3. 2 metre physical distancing and room occupancy limitations are still in effect;
  4. Cadets are no longer required to show vaccination status; and,
  5. We ask that all parents/guardians/visitors do not go past the entryway without
    prior permission from an Officer. A staff member will be available in the Orderly
    room for questions.
