Best First Year Cadet

A cadet who joined the squadron anytime during the current training year (September to Annual). Has completed most mandatory squadron activities, and is very active with the unit.

Captain A. Whitley, CD Memorial Award

Outstanding dress and deportment. An excellent example of how to wear the uniform correctly and smartly wears it almost 100% of the required time. Act with proper respect and behaviour.

Rittenhouse Memorial Award

Most outstanding cadet.

Norio Family Award

Displayed outstanding support, dedication, and enthusiasm in the past year.

Krystal Kiess Heart Trophy

Voted on by new cadets. Awarded to the NCO that has shown the most kindness and went above and beyond to welcome new cadets to the squardron.

Most Proficient Junior NCO

Any Corporal (or Flight Corporal promoted just prior to Annual) may be considered. An excellent example of what a Jr NCO should be.

Most Proficient Senior NCO

Any Sergeant and higher may be considered. An excellent example of what a Sr NCO should be.

Award of Excellence

Any outstanding achievement by any cadet during a year.

Award of Merit

Any outstanding achievement by any cadet over a long time.

Training Officer’s Award

Most proficient LAC. Any LAC (or Corporal promoted just prior to Annual) may be considered. An excellent example of what an LAC should be.

Lee Valencourt Award

Presented to the cadet who is most active, has shown comradeship, boosted moral, and emphasized espirit du corps in the squadron.

Most Proficient Drill Team Member

Determined by the members of the drill team through a secret ballot. Most outstanding individual from the drill team.

Captain Ann-Marie Norio Award of Dedication

Any Level 3 cadet displaying the most dedication and commitment to the squadron.

Best Junior Marksman

Best score in Squadron at the Wing 10 Zone Competition (Training Level 2 or lower).

Best Senior Marksman

Best score in Squadron at the Wing 10 Zone Competition (Training Level 3 or higher).
