Fundraiser: Big Reds Bacon and Meats is Back!

The Squadron Sponsoring Committee has brought back Big Reds for our first fundraiser of the year! Help support 87 and eat some awesome meats from Big Red!

Everything is $45 a box:

  • Bacon – 11 lbs Thick Sliced
  • Chicken Fingers – 4 kg (approx 60 ct) Pub Style
  • 4oz Hamburgers – 10 lb Box (42 ct)
  • Jumbo Hotdogs – 6 kg Box (70 ct)

Weekly Routine Orders for Week of Sep 16-22

Thank you everyone who attended and helped out at our Open House on Wednesday. Everyone is welcome back this week to pickup a Registration Package from the office.

The Officers and SSC wish to thank Spinosa’s Bakery for donating the buns for our Open House.

Here is the WROs (Weekly Routine Orders) and reminders for upcoming activities:

1. Battle of Britain Parade – Sunday September 16th

  • All cadets are reminded about an upcoming mandatory parade for the Battle of Britain on Sunday September 16th.
  • Timing: 1200–1400hrs
  • Location: 1 Municipal Centre Drive, Fort Erie, Ontario
  • Dress: C1, and be prepared to wear summer dress (bring your rank slip-ons) (learn about numbered orders of dress)
  • Cadets are reminded to bring Health cards and to eat lunch

2. Parade Night – Wednesday

Dress: C2 (Routine Training Dress) (If it is hot we will adjust to C2A, Summer Training Dress)
Duty Officer: OCdt Morrow
Duty NCO: TBA

If you are new to cadets, please come to the office to pickup a Registration Package.

Supply will be open.

3. Attention all Level 4s and 5s

Level 4s/5s FYA;

All Level 4s and 5s are required to be registered on Slack to view the Training Schedule. The schedule for this week has been posted since 9 Sep 18.

Weekly Routine Orders for Week of Sep 2-8

Our first week back (as previously announced) will commence with a Sports Night on September 5.

Here is the WROs (Weekly Routine Orders) and reminders for upcoming activities:

1. Sports Night on Wednesday

  • Timing: 1830–2100hrs
  • Dress: Sports attire and running shoes
  • Cadets are reminded to bring:
    • Health cards
    • Water bottle

2. Level 3+ Training Night on Thursday

  • All cadets going into levels 3, 4, and 5 are required to attend a training night on Thursday, September 6th. We will be covering instructional techniques and training related material.
  • Timing: 1900–2030hrs
  • Dress: Civilian
  • Cadets are reminded to bring:
    • Notepads
    • Pen/Pencil
