Upcoming Activities – Week of February 27

Monday, February 27 – Drill Team 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Bring your wedge and boots.

Tuesday, February 28 – Range Team 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 1 – WE WILL BE AT 128 THOROLD SQUADRON FOR A GUEST SPEAKER. CADETS ARE TO BE AT TRINITY UNITED CHURCH (15 PINE STREET, THOROLD) FOR 7:00 P.M. PICK UP TIME WILL BE 9:00 P.M. Dress is C2. 128 Squadron will have their canteen open for snack purchases.

Saturday, March 4 – Effective Speaking Competition 62 Squadron Grimsby – Good luck to Sgt Kalenuik and Cpl Stankus!

Reminders:

There will not be any cadet activities during March Break – this includes drill and range team practices as well as our regular Wednesday parade night.

OPC TICKET STUBS ARE DUE BACK ASAP.

LITTLE CAESAR PIZZA ORDERS DUE ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22. Please help support our squadron with this fundraiser. Orders will be ready for pick up on Friday, March 10.

Monday, February 20 – Drill Team Practice 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Bring your boots and wedge.

Tuesday, February 21 – Range Team Practice 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 22 – COs Parade. There will be a uniform inspection. Make sure your uniform meets or exceeds the standard. (This includes hair which must be in accordance with the dress regulations).

Effective Speaking – Those cadets that expressed an interest in participating will be giving their speeches (February 22). Only two candidates are eligible to move on to the Niagara Air Group competition. More information can be found on the Air Cadet League website. http://aircadetleague.com/effective-speaking-program/

Wednesday, February 8 – Regular Parade Night Dress is C2. THERE WILL BE A NCO MEETING (SGT AND ABOVE) AT 6:00 PM

Practice National Course Interviews – Wednesday – we will be holding our second and final round of practice interviews for the National Courses. National Course interviews will take place on Saturday, February 11 at the Port Colborne Air Cadet Hall – 200 Erie Street, Port Colborne (St. Peter’s Lutheran Church). Those cadets being interviewed will be given their interview time on Wednesday.

Upcoming Activities – Week of January 30

Tuesday, January 31 – Last Range Team Try-out 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the cadet hall – the team will be decided after this try-out (3 seniors and 2 juniors)

Wednesday, February 1 – Regular Parade Night – Dress is C2. Make sure your uniform looks good!
