Reminder – Gliding Today

Cadets are reminded to dress warmly for today’s gliding session at the Niagara District Airport – 468 Niagara Stone Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake. We will be outdoors – you will need a winter coat, hat, gloves and boots (it is not only cold but the ground is very wet).

Don’t forget your health card.

Drop off is 12:45 p.m. in the main terminal parking lot. Pick up time will be 5:00 p.m.

Upcoming Activities Week of April 17

Monday, April 17 – Drill Team Practice 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 19 – Fitness Testing – Cadets are to wear appropriate fitness attire and bring a water bottle.

Saturday, April 22 – Gliding (for those that signed up) at the Niagara District Airport (468 Niagara Stone Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake). Cadets are to meet in the main terminal parking lot for 12:45 p.m. Cadets require their health cards, a water bottle and must be dressed for the weather (it is always at least 10 degrees colder on the airfield, gloves and a winter hat are a good idea – you can always take it off but if you don’t have it, you can’t put it on).

May 6 & 7 – Aviation/Range Training Weekend. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE.

Upcoming Activites – Week of April 10

Monday, April 10 – Drill Team Practice 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

TAGGING INFORMATION: The tagging headquarters will be located at the Seaway Mall in the vacant store beside Health Wise (and across from Bank of Montreal – enter through the CIBC Main Entrance). Parents are expected to come in with their cadet to drive them to their tagging location. Tagging will take place on the following dates:

Wednesday, April 12 – 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (there is no regular cadet night – only those cadets who signed up to tag need to attend)
Thursday, April 13 – 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 15 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. (lunch will be provided for those cadets who are tagging all day)

Cadets are reminded to be in full uniform and that they are representing the cadet program and are to act in a courteous manner that reflects positively on the program. This is our major squadron fundraiser so LET’S MAKE IT GREAT!!!

Range Team Information

There will be one final practice for the Range Team on Saturday, April 1st from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m at the cadet hall.

Competition Information:

The competition will be held on Sunday, April 2 at the St. Catharines Armoury (corner of Lake Street and Welland Avenue, St. Catharines). Cadets are to arrive for 8:00 a.m. Dress is appropriate civilian attire. Lunch will be provided. Cadets are encouraged to bring snacks and activities to occupy the time when they will not be shooting. The competition should be completed around 4 – 4:30 p.m.
