Thursday, January 26 – Sports Practice for those cadets attending the Sports Competition – Youngs Sportsplex (570 River Road, Welland) 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. appropriate footwear required, gym clothes, water bottle and health card

Saturday, January 28 – NAG Sports Competition – Bus is leaving the cadet hall at 7:30 a.m. and will return at approximately 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Saturday, February 4 – Niagara Cadet Gala – you must pay Captain Norio no later than January 25 if you are interested in attending

Effective Speaking Information – Those cadets interested in effective speaking. The competition is scheduled for Saturday, March 4. Only 2 cadets from our squadron will move forward to the NAG competition.

CANCELLATION – Range Team Try Outs Tonight

Due to the current weather advisory in effect, predicted high winds and the potential for hazardous road conditions out by the cadet hall, a decision has been made to cancel Range Team Try-outs scheduled for tonight.

Upcoming Activities – Week of January 9

Monday, January 9 – Drill Team 6:30 -8:00 p.m. at the cadet hall. Bring your wedge and boots.

Tuesday, January 10 – Range Team Try-Outs 6:30 -8:30 p.m. at the cadet hall. Civilian attire.

Wednesday, January 11 – Regular Parade Night (training will be from December 14) – Dress is C2. This will be the LAST night to return summer camp forms.

Upcoming Activities

Flying Scholarship Exams – Saturday, January 14 12:30 p.m. in uniform (C2) at the cadet hall. The cadets writing the exam are those that have applied for Glider and Power Courses. We wish them the best of luck!

Saturday, January 28 – Niagara Air Group Sports Competition – Dunnville Secondary School – sign up sheets will be out on Wednesday. Bus will leave from the cadet hall at approximately 7:30 a.m. and return at approximately 4:30 p.m. We will be taking 3 teams of 9 cadets for volleyball, european handball and soccer.

Saturday, February 4 – Niagara Cadet Gala – Lake Street Armoury St. Catharines. See attached flyer. If you are interested ticket money is due to Captain Norio no later than January 25. cadet-gala

Saturday, February 11 – National Course Interviews – ONLY for those cadets that have applied for a national course. Timing details will follow.

Cadet Christmas Party Wednesday, December 21

The cadet Christmas party will be held tomorrow night at Skyzone Trampoline Park 333 Ontario Road, St. Catharines. Cadets are to arrive in civilian clothes at 6:15 p.m. Parents must fill out a waiver prior to arrival for their cadet (use link below for website)or come in to fill one out. Cadets WILL NOT BE ALLOWEDto participate if they do not have a waiver. If you have gone to Skyzone before you still need to complete a new waiver.

Cadets should bring a water bottle and can bring money to purchase refreshments if they wish.

Pick up time will be 8:45 p.m.
