This Weekends FTX

Make sure to review the kit list, have health cards, and be ready to have fun! Also make sure to have had dinner before being dropped off.

We will be sleeping indoors, however, a lot of the training will take place outside so be sure to dress for the weather. This is a mandatory training exercise, if you need to be excused or cannot attend the entire weekend, contact 87squadron@gmail.com before the weekend.

Arrival: Friday November 24 at 1800hrs
Dismissal: Sunday November 26 at 1200hrs

Please bring any prescription medication (only enough for the weekend, along with dosage instructions). Upon arrival at the Cadet Hall, please give any medications to the Officer in Charge along with your Health Card.

Bring permission slips as well. If you need a permission slip we will have photocopies ready to be filled out on Friday when you drop your cadets off.

Christmas Mess Dinner on December 13th at 1730hrs to 2030hrs

This years Christmas Mess Dinner is on Wednesday December 13th. It will be in place of the parade night, and it will be at the Welland Legion. Details to follow.

IceDogs Game Ticket Orders due Dec 2 (Game on Dec 16)

IceDogs game ticket orders are due no later than December 2nd. Lot’s of tickets left, be sure to grab your own seats, sell seats to your friends and family, and see you at the December 16th game! This is a family and friends fundraiser and everyone is welcome. Should be lot’s of fun!

REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE

This years Remembrance Day service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4, on Morningstar Avenue, Welland. Service begins at 10:45am, so please be there by 10:30am.

Timing: 1030-1130hrs
Location: Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 4, 383 Morningstar Ave, Welland, ON L3B 5B5
Dress: Full uniform (C1), winter jackets

FITNESS TESTING NEXT WEEK

Next week is our semi-annual fitness testing. Please make sure to wear appropriate sports wear, including proper footwear for running, and water bottle. Should be lot’s of fun!

NCO MEETING NEXT WEEK AT 1800HRS

We will have an NCO meeting next week before cadets at 1800hrs. Please be there by 1745hrs so we can start at 1800hrs. If you are unable to attend, email 87squadron@gmail.com

STATUS OF NEW UNIFORMS FOR NEW CADETS

We are waiting for a large shipment from supply before we can issue new uniforms. It is backordered, however, should be shipping very soon. We apologize for the new recruits who have been waiting so long, and thank everyone for their patience. We hope to have uniforms given out ASAP.
