Gliding Update #2

We just received an update from gliding centre staff: Anyone with a light jacket is not going to be allowed out on the field.  Winter jackets, toques, gloves and boots are required!

The weather forecast is looking rough for tomorrow. Please check the website at 8am tomorrow morning in case gliding is cancelled. As of right now we are still planning to fly!

Gliding Info for Tomorrow

All cadets that have signed up for gliding please note the following information:

  • Timing: 0845–1200hrs
  • Location: 87 Eagle Squadron LHQ
  • Bring: Health Card, water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, hat, and dress for the weather as it forecast to be cold tomorrow.
  • Parents: May come and request to take photos, please see flight staff on arrival.

Weather:
As a reminder, please ensure you are dressed for the weather.  The grass is typically wet and soggy in the mornings, so proper footwear needs to be worn.  The air temperature and wind are also typically not the same as in the city, so again, please ensure appropriate outer wear is present.  Cadets not dressed appropriately for the weather conditions may be required to stay off of the airfield.

Enjoy your weekend,

Lt. Bowman
