1. Drill Team – Tuesday

2. Parade Night – Wednesday

3. Waterpark – Sunday

Since we have postponed the Aviation FTX, we have decided to take the squadron to the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark on Sunday. The squadron is paying for your ticket into the waterpark.

Timing: 1100hrs – 1700hrs
Location: Fallsview Indoor Waterpark, Niagara Falls
Bring: Lunch/snack money OR a lunch (would have to stay in locker outside of waterpark), towel, bathing suit, health card
Towels: Included in the park
Note: No outside food or beverage is permitted. The only exception is bottled water (see note about lunch above).

We need final numbers for who is going on Wednesday. The sign-up sheet will be out again.

3. Welland Christmas Parade – Saturday Nov 17

The mandatory Welland Christmas Parade is this Saturday.

Dress: C2 with cadet parka, black gloves
Timing: 1530hrs–1645hrs (Parade begins promptly at 1600hrs, expect delays)
Start Location: Canadian Tire Financial Parking Lot, 980 East Main, Welland. Please enter the parking lot off of Wellington Street.
End Location: Welland City Hall

More information will be distributed on Wednesday evening.

Thank you to everyone that volunteered their time to sell poppies this weekend.

3. Parents/Guardians: AGM – Wednesday

Who: Parents/guardians
Timing: 6:30 PM
Location: Airport Administration Trailer (Directions available at the cadet hall)

As always, all parents are invited to attend all SSC meetings at the beginning of each month. This Wednesday is especially important as it is the AGM. The SSC wishes to invite any parent/guardian interested to attend the meeting after they drop off their cadet(s).

For those that may not know, the Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) is made up of parents/guardians of current and former cadets and is charged with maintaining the building, fundraising, screening volunteers, and more. The SSC is vital to our local unit and requires parents/guardians like you to get involved anyway you can. Without the SSC, we would not have a squadron.

4. Remembrance Day Service – Sunday November 11th

The mandatory Remembrance Day Service will take place this Sunday, November 11th.

Dress: C1 (Ceremonial Training Dress)
Timing: 1030hrs–1145hrs (reception to follow at the Legion)
Location: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4, 383 Morningstar Avenue, Welland, ON

5. Upcoming Aviation FTX – Nov 23-25 – POSTPONED until further notice

The upcoming Aviation FTX scheduled for November 23-25 listed on the Mandatory Events Letter has been postponed until further notice as we have had some difficulty securing a suitable location.

There will be an update in the future from the Training Officer as to when/where the Aviation FTX will be, however, at this point we are looking at dates in the New Year.
