Annual Reminder

Good evening,

Info from the MROs for June is shared again below:

Cadet Timing: 0800hrs
Location: 87 LHQ

  1. Cadets to arrive in civilian clothing, with
    uniforms (C1) READY in a bag.
  2. We will be practicing during the morning and then getting into uniforms after lunch.
  3. Pizza lunch will be provided for cadets.
  4. Bring health card, uniform, water bottle.
  5. Guests to arrive at 1330hrs, parade steps off at 1400hrs. Invitations have been distributed to cadets. Guests are asked to RSVP at https://87eagle.ca/annual. Chairs are limited, it is recommended to bring your own as a backup.


NF Trip Reminder

Good afternoon everyone,

Just a few last minute reminders for tonights trip:

  1. Drop-off and pick-up will be at the hotel entrance
  2. Eat dinner before you come tonight
  3. Optionally bring cash; cadets will have the opportunity to buy snacks tonight and tomorrow
  4. Optionally bring sleeping bags and/or air mattresses; we are 4 to a room, so some may choose to sleep on the floor
  5. If anyone needs to get ahold of their cadet, call the 87 LHQ number: 905-732-2083
  6. Bring your health card

Year-end Trip

There has been a change in the pickup time on Saturday, we were just informed by the waterpark that cadets must be out by 3:00pm, so the new pickup time is 3:30pm.

Tomorrow evening is the last chance to secure a spot on Fridays Niagara Falls Waterpark trip. Spots are almost sold out, so see CV Owen Gifford at the parents table at the beginning of the evening.

Pick-up: 1530 hrs Saturday, June 3
Location: Skyline Hotel & Waterpark, 4800 Bender St, Niagara Falls
Deposit: $50 cash-only per cadet (will be returned after trip), paid to CV Owen Gifford at the Parents Table by May 31st.
Kit List/Permission Form: Copies available at 87 LHQ.

Upcoming Activities: Orienteering, Uniform Night, and more

As we get closer to closing out the cadet year, we have a lot of extra activities happening to get us ready. Here is a recap of the announcements from last night:

Drill Team Practice

Timing: 1830-2000hrs
Dress: Civilian, with boots and wedge

Uniform Swap

Any cadet needing uniform parts swapped, or fitted into a new uniform is welcome to stop by between 1830-1730hrs.

SAT (27)

Orienteering Training Exercise

All cadets are invited to attend the Orienteering Training Exercise on Saturday. We will be doing a scavenger hunt with prizes using map and compasses. Lunch will be provided.

Timing: 0900-1300hrs
Dress: FTU
Bring: Health card, water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray

First Aid Team Practice

Timing: 1830-2000hrs
Dress: Civilian

Uniform Swap

Any cadet needing uniform parts swapped, or fitted into a new uniform is welcome to stop by between 1830-1730hrs.

TUE (30)

Uniform Prep Night

All cadets are invited to the uniform prep night.

Timing: 1830-2000hrs
Dress: Civilian
Bring: Boots, polishing kit.
