Week of Sept 27 – Announcements

1. HONEY ORDERS ARE DUE NEXT WEEK

2. TAGGING
Tagging starts next week on Thursday. Tagging is our main source of fundraising for the Squadron, and how we are able to go on trips like Medeba and enjoy our own building.

All cadets are required to do three tagging shifts. If you cannot do your three mandatory shifts, you must get permission from either the CO or DCO.

Tagging sign up sheets will be out next Wednesday again, so please make sure to put your name down. Three shifts will be: Thursday, Friday, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon.

More details to be released next week.

3. GLIDING
Our first gliding date for the year is this Sunday from 12:45 to 5:00pm. Please be sure to have eaten lunch.

For all the cadets that signed up, the weather is currently forecasted to be cool, and it is always more cool on the flight line (where we will be spending all of our time). Cadets not dressed appropriately for the weather conditions may be required to stay off of the airfield.

REMINDERS – Medeba Trip

Cadets attending the Medeba Trip are reminded to be at Centennial High School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 22. The weather is supposed to be hot and sunny – bring shorts, and for the evening – long pants and a sweatshirt. Cadets are not required to bring their cadet uniform. WEAR YOUR SQUADRON T-SHIRT (if you have one). Make sure you have had dinner or bring it with you.

As a final reminder (in addition to the items on the kit list) cadets NEED THE FOLLOWING:
HEALTH CARD
– SUNSCREEN
– WATER BOTTLE
– HAT

– bug spray (recommended)

Cadets are able to bring snacks with them; however, please note that Medeba is a nut free facility and this is strictly enforced. In addition cadets should bring some money in case we stop along the way and for the small store onsite at the camp.
