Virtual Parade Night #5 – Wednesday

All;

If you missed last weeks Virtual Parade Night, here are just some of the highlights:

  1. Sgt Pychel taught us how tie a fishermans knot, double fishermans, double figure 8, and more!
  2. Sgt Foster and FCpl Breitenbach helped us make a paper version of an McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle tactical fighter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrkwgpUUXe8).
  3. FSgt Town and Sgt Manella sparked our interest in survival techniques.

This week we have an exciting game planned, and of course, an open chat afterwards. If you have not connected with us yet on a Wednesday night, spare an hour or so and join us via Zoom! Cadets are still running, so come on out!

Announcing Mini-Teams

Message from FSgt Town:

Beginning today, the Squadron will be starting a new activity called “Mini-Teams”. Basically what this will look like is you will be split up into groups of about 7 or 8 Cadets. Each group will be led by a specific NCO.

Each week you will get the chance to participate in some kind of fun activity online with your group. Some things we have planned for the groups are Online Board games, Netflix Parties, and other group type games.

A large portion of communication for Mini-Teams will be over slack, so it is imperative that you join slack, either on a Mobile Phone or on a web browser. If there are any complications with this, please contact either me, or WOII Libby. In case you are not on slack, please text 905-321-8291, or email me at dantowni@hotmail.com.

Expect more information via Slack in the coming days.

Thank you.
– FSgt Town

Fun fact, even though The Queens birthday is technically in June, we celebrate it on Queen Victoria’s birthday in Canada. So, as it was Victoria Day yesterday, we wish a Happy Birthday to our Sovereign, The Queen. I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend.

Have a great week everyone,

Capt C. Bowman
Commanding Officer
