We hope everyone had a wonderful summer. As you get ready to get back to school, Cadets is also returning this week. Please note the following activities:

Mon 4-Sep: Senior NCO Meeting and Uniform Swap

All Sgt’s and higher are expected to attend.

Timing: 1830-2100hrs
Location: LHQ
Dress: Civilian
Who: Sgt’s and higher
Bring: Notepad and pen/pencil

Wed 6-Sep: First Night Back

All current cadets are to attend our first cadet training night of the year!

Timing: 1830-2100hrs
Location: LHQ
Dress: Civilian
Who: All cadets

Wed 13-Sep: Open House

Anyone interested in learning more about cadets are welcome to attend our annual Open House! All current cadets are also expected to attend. More information about the Open House: 87eagle.ca/openhouse

Timing: 1900-2100hrs
Location: LHQ (3-435 River Rd, Fenwick, ON L0S 1C0)
Dress: Squadron Shirts (or civilian if you do not have one)
Who: Public and all cadets

Uniform Exchange nights for our returning Junior Cadets (AC to FCpl) will be on;

Wednesday, September 6th from 1730 – 2000 hours, and

Monday, September 18th from 1730 – 2000 hours, no appointments required, just drop-in.

NOTE: after our Recruitment Open House, priority will be given to the sizing and outfitting of new cadets in order to get them in uniform before the Fall FTX.

Uniform Exchange for Senior Cadets ONLY (Sgt’s and above) on Wednesday, August 30th from 1800 – 2000 hours, no appointment required, just drop-in.

2Lt Carter will also be available on Monday, September 4th from 1700 – 1800 hours, before your Senior Cadet meeting.

NOTE: Returning Junior Cadet Uniform Exchange dates will be released later this week.

We are looking for youth Volunteers to assist this Saturday 19 August 2023. The COPA organization is holding in Hangar 4 a Discovery flight day for youth that would like to know more about how Airplanes Fly. More information about the event can be found in the link COPA 149 at CNQ3 – Discover Aviation

This is not a cadet activity and more of an Volunteer opportunity.

Please note there is no bus from Welland this year, drop-off and pickup will be at Lake St. Armoury.

• Who: See your Offer of Participation Form
• When: Starts this Thursday Aug 17 to Sunday Aug 20
• Timing: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Drop-off: Lake St Armoury, 81 Lake St, St. Catharines, ON L2R 5X3
• Dress: FTUs (if you do not have FTUs, or if they do not fit, wear cadet appropriate civilian wear with running shoes)
• Lunch: Provided
• Bring:
  • Ontario Health Card;
  • Water bottle;
  • Offer of Participation;
  • Prescription Medication (if needed);
  • Prescription Eyewear with protective strap (if needed);
  • Medical Alert Identification (if needed);
  • Over-the-Counter Medication (if needed);
  • Cash (approx. $20);
  • Code of Conduct (print and sign); and,
