Weekly Routine Orders and Annual Information

All;

1. Parade Night – Tonight

Continuing Annual Ceremonial Review practice.

Dress: C2

2. Annual Ceremonial Review – Saturday

All cadets are to be at the cadet hall at 0830hrs Saturday morning with:

  • Water bottle;
  • Health card;
  • Civilian clothing suitable for weather forecast;
  • Uniform in a garment bag: based on the weather it looks like we will be in C1 (Full dress), however, please be prepared for summer dress;
  • Static displays completed; and
  • Have had breakfast.

Important Notes

  • Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) is a mandatory parade for all cadets. Cadets must attend in order to complete their level, and go into the subsequent level next year. If you are unable to attend, you must request permission from the CO, in-writing;
  • Arrive in civilian clothing for practice. You will be getting changed after lunch into the uniform of the day; and
  • Lunch will be provided.

Work on uniforms this week, especially BOOTS!

We will not have time to work on uniforms on Saturday. The Annual Ceremonial Review is a formal parade, and dress must look exceptional.

3. Parents/Guardians/Guest Information for Annual

It is recommended for spectators to arrive at 1330hrs to grab seating, ready for 1400hrs parade start.

Jump Start – Rescheduled to June 29

All;

Due to inclement weather forecasted for Saturday, Canadian Tire has decided to reschedule Jump Start to their rain date of June 29th. A new signup sheet will be at cadets next week with the details.

Last Call for Annual Dinner Tickets

All;

The Squadron Sponsoring Committee has agreed to extend the deadline to get Annual dinner tickets until tomorrow (Friday) at 4:00PM, with payment due next week.

To get tickets: Email vkalenuik@gmail.com BEFORE 4:00PM tomorrow with:

  • Cadets name
  • # of cadet tickets ($8/each)
  • # of child tickets ($8/each)
  • # of adult tickets ($16/each)

Again, payment will be due next week. This is the last possible chance to get dinner tickets.

The dinner is optional of course, however, it is a great evening with all the cadets, and includes an awards and special presentations banquet. It is a wonderful time to wind down for the year. All who can make it, please do.

Here are the routine orders for this week:

1. Drill Team – Tonight

Timing: 1845hrs
Bring: Wedge, boots, health card

2. Parade Night – Wednesday

Continuing Annual Ceremonial Review practice.

Dress: C2

3. Annual Dinner Tickets – Due Wednesday

This Wednesday is the final date to purchase annual dinner banquet tickets. Dinner tickets WILL NOT be available at the door.

For new cadets: Annual Ceremonial Review includes the afternoon parade at 2pm, and a Dinner Banquet at 5pm where cadets and their families are invited to attend. The Dinner Banquet is a celebration of the day and includes dinner, desert, soft drinks, awards and special presentations. The parade is free to attend and the dinner is $8 for cadets/children and $16 for adults.

Dinner tickets are not available at the door.

4. Jump Start Day – Saturday

This Saturday is Canadian Tire’s Jump Start day. We are still looking for 2-4 cadets to step up and come out for the day to help promote cadets, run the BBQ, etc.
