Final Marksmanship Team

The following cadets have been selected based on their average score to be on the two marksmanship teams that will be going to competition. It was a very competitive selection year with many excellent shooters. Many Cadets made significant improvements over the last few weeks! ONLY the following cadets are to report for practice on Tuesday and Thursday this week between 18:30-20:30hrs. The competition will be held on Sunday Feb 11th from 0800hrs to 16:30hrs at the Lake Street Armoury in St. Catharines.

Fundraiser Purse Bingo Night !

Special Meeting (Fundraiser Prep) – February 7, 2024 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Regular Meeting Date – February 21, 2024 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Purse Bingo Night:

The 87th Eagle Squadron Parent Committee is holding a Purse Bingo Fundraiser on Friday April 26, 2024 at the Welland Legion (383 Morningstar Ave, Welland, ON, L3B-5B5) and we are in need of your support.

How can you support the 87th Eagle Squadron?

  1. Promote the Purse Night event
  2. Donate your time on Friday April 26, 2024 from 4 – 11 p.m.
  3. Actively participate by purchasing a table at our fundraiser ($320.00 per table of 8 participants).
  4. Recruit event financial sponsors 
  5. Donate a Designer Purse (Kate Spade, Michael Kros, Coach, Etc.)
  6. Donate a Penny Sale Item (if able to donate an item please see Natalie Foster before February 21, 2023). 

The Parent Sponsoring Committee is also asking for each cadet to bring two bags of chips (Medium size or Large size, by February 7, 2024) to aid with this fundraiser.  All unused bags of chips will be returned to the squadron for use at future Training activities at no cost to the cadets.

This Week is a CO Parade

Please note a change in dress for this week’s Air Cadet Parade due to last week’s snow-day. This week will be a CO parade during period 1 and the dress will be C1A for cadets and 1A for Officers.

This week will also be an SSC meeting, parents are welcome to attend at 6:30pm.

This Saturday Jan 27th will be a Range and Aviation weekend for Level 1 cadets, 0800hrs to 1600hrs.

Please bring a 2L plastic pop bottle this week if you have one. We needs many for the Range/Aviation weekend. Thank you
