Permission Forms

If you require a permission form, come in when you drop off your cadet on Saturday to sign a copy. As a reminder, all cadets are expected to attend this weekend. If for any reason your cadet cannot attend any or part of the weekend, email 87air@cadets.gc.ca to let us know.

Rain

Lastly, although there is rain in the forecast, 99% of training takes place indoors. Cadets will also be sleeping indoors.

Gliding Sunday CANCELLED

All;

Unfortunately, we just received word that due to the federal public service strike, gliding across the country is cancelled this weekend. We will keep cadets posted if there is a standby list that allows for gliding this Spring. This is ultimately out of our hands, and are hopeful to get cadets up in the air as soon as possible.

Upcoming Parent Meeting – Next Wed

Good morning,

The Squadron Sponsoring Committee’s next meeting is next Wednesday at 6:30pm. The meeting will be upstairs in classroom 3. All parents/guardians are invited to attend.

At these meetings decisions are made regarding funding, fundraising, volunteer opportunities, and gives you an opportunity for questions with the SSC Chair and the CO. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Have a great day,

Capt C. Bowman
Commanding Officer

Gliding on April 15th moved to April 23rd

Good afternoon,

Please note: We have received notice that the April 15th gliding date (from the April MROs) has moved to April 23rd.

We will have an “chance to fly” sign up sheet out this week. Please have your cadets sign up if they are interested, have never flown before, AND know they are 100% available for the date.

We have a very limited number of seats available for Spring gliding. All cadets that sign up that have good attendance to mandatory training will be entered into a draw for a chance to fly. We are hoping to have a much larger number for Fall gliding, and will be prioritizing cadets that have never flown before again.

Any parents/guardians with questions, please feel free to contact myself directly,
