Remembrance Day Tomorrow:

Cadets that wish to wear their uniform to school need to request from the CO. Cadets can email 87squadron@gmail.com today at the latest.
Cadets partaking in the Remembrance Day ceremony tomorrow: Please note it has been relocated inside the Legion due to the weather forecast. Cadets are to meet at the Legion at 1030hrs, and the ceremony will conclude with light snacks downstairs. Families are encouraged to stay during the short ceremony, otherwise, pickup will be at 1115-1130hrs.

Sponsoring Committee AGM Tonight

Reminder for all parents/guardians that the Sponsoring Committee Annual General Meeting is tonight at 6:30pm. Although this is an optional meeting to attend for parents/guardians, the committee makes decisions regarding the finances, fundraising, maintenance of the building, and approval for extra curricular activities of the Squadron, and therefore, your children.

Directions to the meeting can be provided when you drop off your cadets tonight prior to 6:30.

Gliding Tomorrow

All;

Gliding tomorrow is still on, the official statement from the Officer Commanding is that we will see what we can do, but hopefully we will get everyone up.

Make sure you dress for the weather. It seems to always be more cold on the airfield. This includes wearing boots as the airfield (which we will be spending most of our time on) is currently very wet.

Cadets not dressed for the weather and that do not have proper foot wear will not be flying.

Timing: 845-1200hrs

Make sure to bring:

Health Card
Water bottle
Snacks
Toque, gloves/mitts
Winter Jacket
Boots

Parents that want to take photos may be permitted, speak with flight staff on arrival. Parents are also required to wear the proper footwear.

Plus, the clocks roll back tonight so make sure to accommodate your alarms.

Gliding Tomorrow Nov 3: All cadets that signed up for gliding tomorrow are able to go (you will all receive a separate email to confirm).

Currently the forecast is calling for high winds, however, the Gliding Centre Officer Commanding will let me know after 2000hrs tonight if we have the green light. Make sure to check the website before you leave in the morning in case it is cancelled.
