There are a lot of announcements this week, with important due dates:

1. Big Red Fundraiser DUE tomorrow at 9AM sharp

All Big Red Fundraiser orders or due at Canadian Tire Service Department by tomorrow at 9:00am sharp. The order gets submitted at that time, so there will be no exceptions for late orders.

When you get to CT, ask for Rob Foster. Order pickup will be this Friday between 4:00pm and 8:00pm at the same location.

2. Level 4s and 5s Keynotes – Applications Open

Who can apply: Level 4s and 5s

Opportunity for Level 4 and 5 cadets to apply to participate one of the two keynotes below. Interested cadets message Capt Bowman via Teams. You must be available on those dates. Only 4 spots available.

3. Summer CTC Applications for Level 3 and up – Applications Open

4. Career Questionnaire – Free until Feb 28

The ALiGN career questionnaire, normally $300, is free for all youth ages 15 to 29 years of age across Canada, from now until Feb 28. https://www.rightcareerpaths.ca/

5. CAP March Break rescheduled to April 12-16

Who can apply: All cadets
To apply: No need, details on how to participate coming

The CAP (Cadet Activities Program) has changed to virtual delivery, and is now open to all cadets. The date has also been moved to the week of APril 12-16.

There is no need to register. Details coming.

6. Level 4 and 5 Psychological First Aid Course – Applications Open

Who can apply: Level 4s and 5s
To apply: DM Capt Bowman via Teams
BEFORE 1 Mar 2021

Regional Cadet Support Unit (Central) will provide two on-line Canadian Red Cross Psychological First Aid courses for 4th and 5th  year cadets to supplement the mandatory training program.

Selected cadets will be offered the pre-requisite Self-Care course and when completed they can enroll in the Caring for Others course. Each course requires approximately 45 to 60 minutes to complete.

Interested Level 4 and 5 cadets to apply to Capt Bowman via Teams BEFORE 1 Mar.

7. Effective Speaking Competition – Applications Open

Who can apply: All cadets (1 cadet will be selected)

March Break AND Summer Sessions – Cadet Activities Program (CAP)

New program for First and Second year cadets! Download the flyer (PDF).

The Cadet Activity Program, or CAP for short, is a locally delivered program conducted during two sessions: March 15–19 2021; and Summar 2021 sessions to be determined.

CAP Provides a fun, challenging, and meaningful experience for cadets above and beyond what they would receive at the local corps/squadron level. A multi-unit experience!

Cadets who do not have the opportunity to participate in March Break CAP will be able to apply for summer opportunities in their Area (or in case CAP is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions).

Parents will be responsible for drop-off and pick up at the trg locations (sites will be staffed at least 1 hr before and after scheduled times to allow for early drop-off / late pick-up).
