Holiday Mess Dinner – Next Wednesday

All;

Our Holiday Mess Dinner is next week on Wednesday. This is mandatory event for all cadets, and will take place of our normal training night. Cadets are to meet at the Legion in Welland for 1830hrs. This event is for cadets only; we have a family version at the end of the year in June.

IMPORTANT: We need numbers for next week; we will survey the cadets in attendance tonight to see who is attending. If your cadet cannot come tonight, email 87air@cadets.gc.ca to let us know if your cadet is coming next week.

Here is a recap of the details from the December Routine Order:

“A Mess Dinner, originating over 200 years ago, is one of the most coveted and important traditions of the Canadian Forces. It is a time to appreciate the comradeship and company of fellow service members and guests and to savour fine cuisine in an elegant setting. Tradition remains to this day one of the prime ingredients in air cadet esprit decorps.”
