Information for Cadets Attending Summer Training

The following cadets have been selected to attend summer training and are scheduled to depart on SUNDAY, JULY 7 (Course ends on August 2):

Sgt. Dashwood, Sgt Marges, FCpl Thorpe-Cottingham

The following cadets are scheduled to depart on SUNDAY, AUGUST 4 (Course ends on August 16):

FCpl Conley, FCpl Doyle, FCpl Gifford, FCpl Mazza, Cpl McDonnell-Lye, Cpl Stevens, FCpl Stortz, FCpl Stout

All training courses will take place at Blackdown Cadet Training Centre (CFB Borden).

Important:

Travel details will be shared once available (typically one week before departure). Cadets must travel in uniform (Dress C3 – no tunic or tie). Cadets MUST HAVE THEIR HEALTH CARD AND OFFER OF PARTICIPATION TO BOARD THE BUS (Squadron staff will be at the departure point to provide).

Year End Trip

Six more days until the year end trip! The final balance for the trip is due on June 24, 2024. Questions regarding payment can be emailed to treasurer@87eagle.ca A link to the kit list is below. Cadets MUST bring their health card, refillable water bottle, hat, sunscreen AND LUNCH FOR FRIDAY!

We will be departing from Centennial High School on Friday, June 28 at 8:30 a.m. A finalized itinerary will be posted early next week.

Cadets are reminded of the requirements of the Cadet Code of Conduct and are encouraged to review it to ensure the trip is fun for everyone.

A special thank you to everyone that joined us for our 83rd Annual Ceremonial Review (and being so understanding about the last minute venue change) – it was an overwhelming success and we are very proud of all of our cadets!

Awards Night – Wed, May 29th at 1830hrs

Please join us on Wednesday for our Awards Night.

Attendance is mandatory for cadets as this takes place during a normal cadet night.

Location: Welland Legion, 383 Morningstar Avenue
Food: Light refreshments and cake
Tickets: REQUIRED – Cadets that requested additional tickets last week have had those tickets set aside. There are still ADDITIONAL tickets available. If you would like to request more tickets, please email 87air@cadets.gc.ca NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, MAY 28first come, first serve to have additional tickets set aside for you.
