Upcoming Activities – Week of February 6

Monday, February 6 – Drill Team Practice 6:30 -8:00 p.m. at the cadet hall. Bring your boots and wedge.
(NOTE – drill team practices will now be held every week)

Tuesday, February 7 – Range Team Practice 6:30 – 8:30 p.m

Wednesday, February 8 – Regular Parade Night Dress is C2. THERE WILL BE A NCO MEETING (SGT AND ABOVE) AT 6:00 PM

Practice National Course Interviews – Wednesday – we will be holding our second and final round of practice interviews for the National Courses. National Course interviews will take place on Saturday, February 11 at the Port Colborne Air Cadet Hall – 200 Erie Street, Port Colborne (St. Peter’s Lutheran Church). Those cadets being interviewed will be given their interview time on Wednesday.

Upcoming Activities – Week of January 30

Tuesday, January 31 – Last Range Team Try-out 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the cadet hall – the team will be decided after this try-out (3 seniors and 2 juniors)

Wednesday, February 1 – Regular Parade Night – Dress is C2. Make sure your uniform looks good!

Practice National Course Interviews – For those cadets that submitted National Course applications we will be holding practice interviews tonight (February 1) as well as next Wednesday. The attached booklet has the questions – make sure you review. cadet-supplemental-booklet-v2

Saturday, February 4 – Niagara Cadet Gala – for those cadets that have purchased tickets. See the attached flyer for timings. cadet-gala

Reminder – NAG Sports Competition

Cadets attending the Sports Competition tomorrow are reminded to be at the cadet hall by 7:30 a.m. to catch the bus. Cadets MUST have their HEALTH CARD, water bottle, appropriate foot wear and have proper sports attire.

Cadets should be returning to the cadet hall for approximately 4:30 p.m.

Lunch will be provided. Cadets are encouraged to bring snacks and money should they wish to purchase items from the canteen.

Monday, January 23 – Range Team Try-Outs 6:30 -8:30 p.m. at the cadet hall. Civilian attire.

Tuesday, January 24 – Drill Team 6:30 -8:00 p.m. at the cadet hall. Bring your wedge and boots.

Wednesday, January 25 – Sports Night (swimming) at the YMCA in Welland. Cadets are to meet in the lobby for 6:45 p.m. with a bathing suit and towel. Pick up time will be 8:45 p.m. Wear civilian attire and make sure you have your health card.

This is the last night to pay if you are planning on attending the Cadet Gala on February 4th.

Thursday, January 26 – Practice ONLY for those cadets signed up to attend the sports competition. – Youngs Sportsplex (570 River Road) 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Wear appropriate sports clothing, bring a water bottle and make sure you have your health card and indoor shoes.

Saturday, January 28 – Niagara Air Group Sports Competition – Those cadets that have signed up need to be at the cadet hall for 7:30 a.m. Cadets are to have their health cards, water bottle, appropriate sports attire, indoor running shoes and snacks. Lunch will be provided. There will be a canteen if cadets wish to bring some money to purchase items. Cadets should be back at the cadet hall for approximately 4:30 p.m.

Thursday, January 26 – Sports Practice for those cadets attending the Sports Competition – Youngs Sportsplex (570 River Road, Welland) 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. appropriate footwear required, gym clothes, water bottle and health card

Saturday, January 28 – NAG Sports Competition – Bus is leaving the cadet hall at 7:30 a.m. and will return at approximately 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Saturday, February 4 – Niagara Cadet Gala – you must pay Captain Norio no later than January 25 if you are interested in attending

Effective Speaking Information – Those cadets interested in effective speaking. The competition is scheduled for Saturday, March 4. Only 2 cadets from our squadron will move forward to the NAG competition.
