We would like to remind the cadets and their families that tonight is the last night for our food drive to help support our local food banks. If you are able to support please bring in non perishable items that we will then drop off at the local food bank.

The SSC would like to thank all for their support and offer the warmest wishes for a safe and happy holiday season.

Good Afternoon from the members of the SSC,

We would like to ask the cadets and their families to remember those less fortunate in the community as we begin to celebrate this festive season.

In an effort to support and give back to our surrounding community we are organizing a food drive taking place over the remaining parade nights of the year. We would like to ask for non-perishable food items as well as personal hygiene products to be dropped off at the cadet hall on the SCC table that we will then co-ordinate a drop off for.

The items that are most requested and currently in need of at the food banks are as follows.

GRAINS: Cereal, Pasta, Rice, Oatmeal, Granola Bars & Flour
PROTEINS: Canned meats (fish, chicken, ham) beans (dried or canned), Peanut Butter
FRUITS & VEGGIES: Fruit Cups, Jams & spreads, juices, canned veggies
PANTRY STAPLES: pasta sauces, soup & stews, crackers, canned pasta meals, baking ingredients, condements

SPECIAL DIET ITEMS: Gluten Free, low-sugar snacks, halal
HYGIENE ITEMS: Shaving Razors, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, laundry soap
PET FOOD: Cat food (wet/dry), Dog food (dry)
BABY ITEMS: baby formula, baby food jars or pouches, diapers & wipes

Due to the anticipated severe weather conditions (including potential heavy snow/freezing rain and hazardous travel conditions) forecast for our area tonight, Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, tonight’s regularly scheduled Cadet training night is officially CANCELLED.

• Reason: Safety concerns regarding expected hazardous weather and travel conditions.

The members of the SSC would like to remind cadet families that all parents are welcome to attend the meetings held on the 3rd Wednesday of the Month.
As well we would like to make the time correction for the meetings, the MRO states that the meeting starts at 18:00 (6:00pm), the correct time is 18:30 (6:30pm).
