Welland Santa Claus Parade

Cadets are reminded to be at Canadian Tire Financial Services (corner of East Main and Wellington St) for 3:15 pm today in full uniform with plain black gloves and their cadet parka. If you do not have a parka make sure you have a civilian winter jacket as we will have a limited number of cadet parkas to issue. The parade starts at 4:00 pm and ends at City Hall. Cadets are to be picked up at Market Square for 5:00 p.m. (approximately).

Sunday, November 20 – Bowl-a-thon Kingsway Bowling Alley 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Don’t forget your pledge sheets.

Final Poinsettia Orders are due on Wednesday.

Saturday, November 19, 2016 – City of Welland Christmas Parade Meet at Canadian Tire Financial Services parking (corner of East Main and Wellington Streets) at 3:15 in your full uniform with cadet parka and plain black gloves. We will do our best to loan jackets to those cadets that have not yet been issued one. The parade ends at the Civic Square.

Sunday, November 20 – Bowl-a-thon – Kingsway Bowling Lanes 4:00 p.m. Don’t forget your pledge sheets.

Poppying will take place on the following dates and times:

Thursday, November 3 – 5:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Friday, November 4 – 5:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, November 5 – 9:00 – 12:00 p.m.

1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Cadets are reminded that they are to be in full uniform (cadet parka and black gloves if needed – if you do not have a parka it is suggested you layer up underneath your uniform) and to ensure they act in a manner that reflects positively on both the cadet program and the Royal Canadian Legion and considers the importance of Remembrance Day and the symbolism of the poppy.

Cadets are to report to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4 (383 Morningstar Avenue) where the Legion Poppy Coordinator will assign them a location. Cadets will be in pairs at each location. Parents will be required to drive cadets to and from their locations. A member of the squadron staff will be there at the beginning and end of each shift.
