Saturday 3, November, 2018.
0900-1200 hrs morning shift.
1300-1700 hrs afternoon shift.
The Cadet Program is one of the largest federally sponsored youth programs in Canada. It is a national program for young Canadians aged 12 to 18 who are interested in participating in a variety of fun, challenging and rewarding activities.

There has been a change in times for tagging, tagging is now from 1600 to 1900 hrs. This time change was from the legion. Parents please have cadets back at the legion for 1900hrs.

As per the Mandatory Events letter, all cadets must participate in 1 shift of poppying for Remembrance Day. Poppying is a great way of supporting the legion and also counts towards community service hours.
Timing:
Thurs PM (Nov 1): 1600–2000hrs
Fri PM (Nov 2): 1600–2000hrs
Sat AM (Nov 3): 0900–1200hrs
Sat PM (Nov 3): 1300–1700hrs
Location: Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4, Welland (383 Morningstar Avenue)
Dress: Full uniform with winter parkas and black gloves. The Officer in Charge at the Legion will have extra parkas for those cadets who have not been issued one. You may wear a cadet toque if you have one.
As per the Mandatory Events letter, all cadets must participate in the Remembrance Day parade.
Timing: Arrive for 1330hrs, parade to begin at 1345hrs
Dress: Full uniform with winter parkas and black gloves
Location: Cenotaph at Chippawa Park in Welland

The following is the Weekly Routine Orders (WROs) for this week:
Drill Team Practice tonight from 1900hrs to 2030hrs. Be prepared to go outside and see Slack for more details from the Drill Team Commander.
This weeks training night will be at Youngs Sportsplex, dismissal this week will be 30 minutes early at 8:30 PM.
Location: Youngs Sportsplex 570 River Rd, Welland, ON
Timing: 1830hrs to 2030hrs
Bring: Health card, water bottle, sports attire, running shoes
The Squadron Sponsoring Committee wishes to remind everyone that the registration fees and OPC ticket books are due.
Reminder that next Wednesday is October 31st so we will not be having a parade night. Poppying starts on Thursday, Nov 1 to Saturday Nov 3 (See Mandatory Events Letter). Details to be announced on Wednesday.

We just received an update from gliding centre staff: Anyone with a light jacket is not going to be allowed out on the field. Winter jackets, toques, gloves and boots are required!
The weather forecast is looking rough for tomorrow. Please check the website at 8am tomorrow morning in case gliding is cancelled. As of right now we are still planning to fly!
