Reminder – First Aid Course

For those cadets that signed up for the Standard First Aid Course , please note the following:

Saturday:

Drop Off – No later than 8:30 a.m. (course starts promptly at 8:30)

Pick Up – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday:

Drop Off – No later than 8:00 a.m

Pick Up – 5:00 p.m.

Dress: Comfortable, Appropriate Civilian Attire

What to bring: LUNCH, water bottle, paper and pen/pencil

Fundraiser Purse Bingo Night !

Parent Sponsoring Committee:

Special Meeting (Fundraiser Prep) – February 7, 2024 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Regular Meeting Date – February 21, 2024 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Purse Bingo Night:

The 87th Eagle Squadron Parent Committee is holding a Purse Bingo Fundraiser on Friday April 26, 2024 at the Welland Legion (383 Morningstar Ave, Welland, ON, L3B-5B5) and we are in need of your support.

How can you support the 87th Eagle Squadron?

  1. Promote the Purse Night event
  2. Donate your time on Friday April 26, 2024 from 4 – 11 p.m.
  3. Actively participate by purchasing a table at our fundraiser ($320.00 per table of 8 participants).
  4. Recruit event financial sponsors 
  5. Donate a Designer Purse (Kate Spade, Michael Kros, Coach, Etc.)
  6. Donate a Penny Sale Item (if able to donate an item please see Natalie Foster before February 21, 2023). 

The Parent Sponsoring Committee is also asking for each cadet to bring two bags of chips (Medium size or Large size, by February 7, 2024) to aid with this fundraiser.  All unused bags of chips will be returned to the squadron for use at future Training activities at no cost to the cadets.

Last Week – Marksmanship Team Try Outs

The last week for try outs for the Marksmanship Team will be on Tuesday, January 30 and Thursday, February 1 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Cadet Hall. You can come one or both nights. Dress: Appropriate Civilian Attire

Those selected for the team will be notified no later than Sunday, Feb 4. Team practices will be held on Tuesday, February 6 and Thursday, February 8 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Cadet Hall. The competition is on Sunday, February 11 from 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. at the Lake Street Armoury (81 Lake Street, St. Catharines).
