Good morning 87 Eagle parents! Buses are expected to depart from our Area Directed Activity at CFB Borden at 1330 hrs (1:30pm). We are anticipating that cadets will arrive at the cadet hall at approximately 1630 hrs (4:30pm).

Hello Cadet Family,

Just a few friendly reminder.

1. Parent Sponsoring Committee Meeting – TONIGHT at 6:30 p.m.

2. The 87^th Eagle Squadron Parent Committee is giving back to our community by sponsoring a Backyard Bingo Fundraiser on Saturday June 14, 2025 at the Welland Legion and we are in need of your support. All funds raised will support our local Jump Start chapter.  Please spread the word!

The Parent Sponsoring Committee has also requested each cadet bring two bags of chips (by TONIGHT) to aid in our fundraising efforts.  All unused bags of chips will be returned to the squadron for use at future cadet events.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tonight.

All cadets should have received invitations to both the Annual Ceremonial Review on Saturday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cadet Hall as well as the Awards and Recognition Night on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Welland Legion. Due to capacity issues, tickets are REQUIRED for the Awards Night. Each cadet is entitled to two tickets. If you would like additional tickets, please speak to one of the Squadron staff and they will do their best to accommodate. For the Annual Ceremonial Review on Saturday, cadets are required to be at the Cadet Hall for 8:15 a.m. Guests attending the Review are requested to arrive by 1:45 p.m. and to bring chairs. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

How can you support the 87^th Eagle Squadron?

·         Promote the Backyard Bingo Night event

·         Actively participate by purchasing a table at our fundraiser ($400.00 per table of 8 participants). Single tickets are available for $50.00 each.

·         Donate a Penny Sale Item (if able to donate an item please see Natalie Foster before Wednesday May 28, 2025).

2. Parent Sponsoring Committee Meeting – Wednesday May 21, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.

The Parent Sponsoring Committee Board will be meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the Backyard Bingo and upcoming fundraising.  Everyone is welcome to join us. 

Just a reminder to all cadets that marksmanship training will be taking place this evening from 1830 to 2030 at HQ. All cadets are welcome to come out participate on the air rifle range!
