Trip Update: ETA is 6:15
According to GPS estimates our new ETA is 6:15pm.
We will be later than 5:00pm today.
We are currently in Barrie, and will be another 2.5 hours before we get back. When we are 1 hour out we will post another update.
Please check back, and we will see you soon.
Cadets attending the Medeba Trip are reminded to be at Centennial High School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 22. The weather is supposed to be hot and sunny – bring shorts, and for the evening – long pants and a sweatshirt. Cadets are not required to bring their cadet uniform. WEAR YOUR SQUADRON T-SHIRT (if you have one). Make sure you have had dinner or bring it with you.
As a final reminder (in addition to the items on the kit list) cadets NEED THE FOLLOWING:
– HEALTH CARD
– SUNSCREEN
– WATER BOTTLE
– HAT
– bug spray (recommended)
Cadets are able to bring snacks with them; however, please note that Medeba is a nut free facility and this is strictly enforced. In addition cadets should bring some money in case we stop along the way and for the small store onsite at the camp.
Just a reminder that tonight is the last night to be added to the list of cadets attending the Medeba Trip on September 22 – 24. This promises to be a great trip with lots of fun activities.
Make sure you sign up!!!
The Parents Sponsoring committee is asking all parents to please fill out the following survey regarding the OPC Lottery:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Y995ZNB
We’re conducting a survey and your input would be appreciated. At the meeting between the OPC Board of Governors, Directors, SSC and associated DND personnel in August of 2016 at the Canadian Forces College in Toronto, a significant number of those in attendance indicated that they favoured investigating replacing the lottery as a means of raising funds for both OPC and the SSC. This survey is designed to gauge your support for keeping, or eliminating, the OPC lottery. The earliest that any change can be implemented would be the 2018 – 2019 cadet training year.
