Fundraiser Update

The Squadron Sponsoring Committee has provided an update for the Little Caesars fundraiser:

Due to the recent parade night cancellation, orders will be collected this upcoming Wednesday night. Pickup will now be Friday, March 22nd. Timing will be announced.

All inquiries for fundraisers should be directed to the sponsoring committee directly (Fundraising).

Weekly Routine Orders for the Week of Feb 24 – Mar 2

Here are the routine orders for this week:

1. Parade Night – Wednesday

The forecast is not looking great for Wednesday. If we cancel, it will be NLT (no later than) 1600hrs. Updates will go out via email, the website, and Slack as always. As of right now, we are planning to have a parade night, if you do not hear the contrary, we will proceed with training. If you cannot make it, make sure to email 87squadron@gmail.com or via Slack.

Little Caesars Fundraising Update

Message from the Squadron Sponsoring Committee:

The pickup date has been updated for the Little Caesars Fundraiser. It is now Friday, March 8th – Time TBD.

Weekly Routine Orders for the Week of Feb 17–23

Another large update this week, please read carefully. Here are the routine orders for this week:

1. Drill Team – Tuesday

Timing: 1845hrs
Bring: Wedge, boots, health card

2. Parade Night – Wednesday

Dress: C2
Duty Officer: OCdt Silva
Duty NCO: F/Cpl Druzina (see office on arrival)
Admin OJT: Sgt Town
Supply OJT: F/Sgt Kalenuik
Training OJT: F/Sgt Norio

3. NCO Meeting – Wednesday

Due to the meeting being cancelled from the weather last week, we will have the NCO meeting this Wednesday from 2100–2115hrs. Bring paper/pen.

4. Range/Aviation Training Weekend – Saturday to Sunday

What: Mandatory training weekend for all cadets
Drop-off: 0900hrs on Saturday
Pickup: 1200hrs on Sunday
Dress: Civilian

Bring:

  • Health Card
  • Prescription medication (report to office on arrival)
  • Clothing: Appropriate civilian clothing and change of clothes for Sunday (no uniform required)
  • Outdoor Clothes: Warm jacket, winter hat and gloves (there will be some outdoor training taking place)
  • Sleeping Gear: Sleeping bag, pillow, air mattress (optional), pjs
  • Toiletry Kit: Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, towel, face cloth etc
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Travel mug (for hot drinks)
  • Notebook/paper and pen/pencil
  • Games and snacks for free time (optional)
  • Level 1’s: Bring an empty 2L pop bottle

Do NOT Bring:

  • Expensive jewellery
  • Radios, iPods, MP3 players
  • Knives
  • Non-prescription medication ( Advil, Tylenol)
