Battle of Britain Parade – This Sunday (Updated timing)

The Battle of Britain parade is a mandatory parade for all cadets to attend.

The Battle of Britain is important in many ways, including the first major air military campaign entirely fought by air forces, and the first major German defeat and a crucial turning point in the Second World War.

During the Battle, which lasted from Jul 10 to Oct 31, 1940, Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy defended the United Kingdom against large-scale attacks by Nazi Germany’s air force, the Luftwaffe.

Canada, along with other commonwealth countries, provided a portion of the United Kingdom’s 2,936 total pilots that fought during the Battle.
